Tya and Zach’s New Year’s Eve Wedding Celebration in Downtown Denver – Colorado Wedding Photography

Tya and Zach go way back. Like wayyyyyy back. They met in 7th grade at age 13. They became inseparable, enjoying one another’s laughs and light-hearted personalities. One of Tya’s life goals was to “marry Zach Jones”. Well, this past New Year’s Eve: her dream came true.

 

I met up with these two in August of 2020 for engagement photos at the beautiful Hudson Gardens. If you missed their fun, vibrant engagement session, you can catch up here!

 

They were originally planning a May wedding for this past year, but made the difficult decision to postpone so that their guests and families would be able to attend. They chose New Year’s Eve, and it was so fitting since Zach proposed to Tya on NYE of 2019 in Las Vegas!

 

They wanted an urban party for their wedding and the Grand Hyatt was the perfect backdrop for their celebration. Their black tie event, dripping with class and accented by glitz, was the best way to ring in the New Year 2022!

 

When we arrived to their hotel room, Tya and her girls were hyped and all smiles. Once Tya was in her (amazing custom) wedding dress, her dad arrived for a First Look. It was all I could do not to cry behind the camera, what a sweet moment!

 

And when their eyes locked while she walked down the aisle, Zach fought back tears in seeing his bride for the first time. Soon they shared a first kiss and were officially pronounced husband and wife! Let the party begin!

 
 
 

Tya and Zach’s biggest wedding planning advice: “For brides – don’t leave any stone unturned this is your big day and make sure it’s everything that you dreamed of. For grooms – give your honest opinion whenever she asks and make sure you get whatever you want because it is your special day too.”

 
 

Congrats, you two! I couldn’t think of a better way to end 2021 and begin 2022 than with you.
