Kate and Eric first met at work for a mortgage company through a coworker. They enjoyed a first date that fall at Streetcar 520 in Colorado Springs and quickly hit it off. Their laid back, yet passionate, personalities came together along with their love of helping others, hiking, and spending time in the kitchen cooking.
Fast forward three years. It was Christmas Eve in 2022 and after spending the morning with family, they decided to go on a hike that afternoon with some visiting friends from out of state. At the top of Mt Muscoco, Eric completely surprised Kate by proposing! On the way up the mountain, Eric kept saying it would be worth it, and it was! She said YES!
Kate and Eric began planning their day and chose YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch as the perfect backdrop for their event. After sharing a sweet first reveal with her dad, Kate walked out with the help of her sister and mom to see Eric for a First Look. Eric fought back tears as the anticipation of seeing his bride became real. It was such a sweet moment.
They were joined by their wedding party and we had loads of fun and shenanigans with a great tribe of their friends! Their ceremony was unique and detailed, and even included Kate’s family playing special music together for the couple. After sharing personal vows and exchanging rings, they were pronounced Mr and Mrs!

The couple’s biggest wedding planning advice: “Stay organized. Communicate with your friends and family so they can help execute your vision. I had an amazing tribe of people who knew what I wanted and helped make it a reality. Also, be flexible with your vendors. They’re the professionals and just have your special day in mind.”
