Many times, the unexpected turns in life provide interesting and special moments. Sarah and Mike's unexpected love story began several years ago. She worked as a server at a pizzeria in Denver just before starting real estate school; he was working in the kitchen while getting his EMT certification. They worked a shift together and were inseparable ever since.
Their first date was spent like any good first date should: dinner and coffee. The hours of their date passed like minutes and soon their new bond grew into real love. Four years later, when Sarah returned home from a hard spin class, sweaty and all, Mike asked her to marry him.
These two fun people love to hike, travel in the mountains, and try new restaurants and brews together. Their forever began just three short weeks ago.
With Golden and the beautiful Colorado foothills as a backdrop, Sarah and Mike planned a simple but crazy elegant event. Sarah wore a stunning champagne dress from Emma & Grace; it not only fit her beautifully, but it fit her personality to a tee. Beautiful and unassuming.
We were blessed with a mix of sun and clouds during their wedding and, in true Colorado fashion, high 90s temperatures. They shared their first look along Clear Creek in the heart of Golden. We enjoyed some creative portraits in the area and then headed back to The Briarwood Inn to prepare for their ceremony.
Sarah was accompanied down the aisle by her mom and dad (close to my heart, because I did the same thing as a bride!) and Mike took her hands as they said vows and exchanged rings.
These two celebrated with their friends and family with a fabulous dinner, cold drinks, and outside dancing under the stars. What a fantastic time! Thanks Sarah and Mike for inviting me along to tell your wedding story, I'm honored to have been a small part of such a special day.
