Best of 2016 - A Year in Photos - Colorado Wedding Photographer

Twenty sixteen was a big year for me. Seven years of graphic design and a lot of stress motivated me hard to phase out my design business and focus on my long-time passion of wedding photography. The transition was natural and smooth.

I've been so, SO blessed this year with the coolest couples, beautiful Colorado venues, and 18 amazing weddings. Brian and I were also able to make our first trip to Europe (after 10 years of dreaming!). We left our hearts in Italy, walked the white marble streets on the crater rim of Santorini, and soaked in the Biblical history of beautiful Ephesus, Turkey. We ate pizza and gelato in the alleys of Rome, sipped porto coastside in the Alfama district of Lisbon, Portugal and ignited a burning wanderlust passion.

During this incredible year, I met new families, made new friends, pushed my skills, soaked in beauty from the nature world, collaborated with other creatives and entrepreneurs, attended shootouts, modeled for fellow photographers, and so much more.

It was a year of growth. It was a year of digging deep to find my style, hone my brand, and build the foundation for a successful wedding photography business.

Have I arrived? Heck no. There's a constant internal battle with creatives to push ourselves, create the next epic photo, capture the perfect moment, make something new.

I want to thank each and every client this year, from the bottom of my heart. You were the reason for my push, my passion, my growth.

In honor of what I could honestly call a PERFECT 2016, I want to recap the season's outstanding couples and memories. Each and every couple has a special place in my heart.

2017 has some HUGE goals and exciting news in the works. I cannot wait to see what this next year has in store! Let's make it big!

Here's a peek back at this year's weddings!
