When I met Tara and Jake and they decided to book with me for their upcoming September wedding at the family ranch, I knew I'd found my people! They are fun-loving, laid back, and just plain good folk.
As we began planning their engagement session, they mentioned wanting to do photos at their family ranch where the wedding will take place. Jake's family owns Carriages of Colorado, so we wanted to include their doggies and Belgians during the session. I LOVE when couples bring in pieces of their personality to their photos, making them unique and special. Getting to hang out with massive draft horses Queen, Blaze, and Duke was a treat!
We had warm temperatures (for February) and wind, but it made for epic clouds and skies! And of course, the session ended with some kissin' in the hay barn. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding! Here are my favs from their session.
