Silverthorne Town Pavilion Wedding - Colorado Mountain Wedding Photographer - Sarah Goff Photography

When I first talked with Tara and Eric on the phone about their big day, I got excited at shooting a spring wedding in the mountains of Colorado for such a sweet couple. I was also a bit terrified! Spring in Colorado can bring turbulent weather: days of sun and 70s followed by snow storms. Ultimately, they were blessed with gorgeous conditions and met with tons of love from friends and family.

Tara and Eric met 10 years ago through Eric's twin sister. They got engaged at Torrey Pines Beach in La Jolla, California on one of their favorite hikes with overviews of the city and beach. When they climbed down to a rock on the water, Eric proposed to Tara with his family and friends there to film it all.

Eric's favorite thing about Tara is her smile. Tara's favorite thing about Eric is his sense of humor and pure kind-heartedness.

Silverthorne was a PERFECT backdrop for their wedding. With views of the surrounding Ten Mile and Gore mountain ranges, there is no shortage of vistas and fresh mountain air. Their ceremony was set along the river and budding aspens. Tara's parents built the couple a vintage doorway for the ceremony site with their names in wrought iron atop it. So much love was poured into their special day.

Their favorite wedding memory: "Cake-in-the-face bet! Everyone seemed so excited. Two of our nieces asked for money from everyone to keep their votes going, Grace for Eric and Kaylie for Tara. We enjoyed the anticipation and laughs from it. I've heard I should have gotten Eric a litter harder with the cake."

These two are looking forward to moving to Colorado and buying home to begin a family.

The couple's best wedding advice: "Take time to enjoy it, let loose and take your photographers recommendations for a little photo adventure!"
