Taylor and Mathew's Winter Wedding at Windsong Estate - Fort Collins, Colorado Wedding Photograp

When I first sat down with Taylor and Mathew for brews at the local Veteran's Brothers Brewing here in Johnstown, I knew we'd be a great fit. Taylor is sweet and feisty and Mathew is a bit quieter, but very personable. Together, they are fun and loving. As I got to know them, I could see the fire and friendship in their eyes for each other, a graciousness in their hearts, and a passion to have beautiful photos documenting their engagement and wedding.

These two great souls met at the bar, Luscious Nectar (sadly no longer in business), through mutual friends. A few days later, they shared their first official date at Pitchers in Fort Collins over beers and a Bronco's game. They fell in love with each other’s sense of humor and ability to always have something to laugh about. As Taylor stated, "we can be 100% ourselves with each other, which we’d both never had before."

When it came time to propose, Mathew played it cool and surprised Taylor one night by coming over to pick her up for dinner. He showed up on her doorstep with an empty ring box, saying how sad it was that he found an empty ring box... Taylor went to change clothes and came out to find Mathew holding a ring. It was the perfect casual proposal, with Taylor in even in her sweatpants.

These two decided to plan a late winter wedding, choosing Windsong Estate as a beautiful blank canvas for their special day. While we were all crossing fingers and toes for snow, we were blessed instead with golden sun and dry conditions. With a spectacular sunset to compliment their heartfelt ceremony and a wild dance party, it was the most perfect day!

When Taylor walked down the stairs towards her dad to escort her down the aisle, Mathew's eyes filled with tears and Taylor was simply GLOWING. They shared beautiful vows and a perfect first kiss.

Their biggest wedding planning advice: "Enjoy it! It goes so fast and you can never get it back. Try to have fun with each other in the process of planning because it can get very stressful."
