Amanda and Fumba's Fall Wedding at Woodlands Colorado - Mountain Wedding Photographer

I can truly say that Amanda and Fumba have left a hugely positive impact on my own life. These two have a joy and positivity that is contagious and needed desperately in our negative world. When I think about them, I simply can't help but smile.

Amanda and Fumba were introduced through a dating app. Their very first date was at Olive & Finch in Cherry Creek, however Fumba mixed up his Denver neighborhoods and went to the Uptown location first. His delayed arrival spoiled his plan to introduce himself and talk for the first few minutes with a thick African accent. Amanda's wait for him was definitely worth it and soon these two were inseparable.

Amanda fell in love with Fumba's unique perspective on life, having both Malawian roots and American "swag" (as he would call it). His smile and love for his family instantly attracted Amanda, and her love for God along with vibrant blue eyes and curly hair were hard to resist for Fumba.

When it came time to take the next step, Fumba convinced Amanda they were going to meet up with friends at Stem Cider Acreage. Upon arriving, they grabbed a cider and went outside to the lawn to wait for their friends. Very much like Fumba, he suggested they take a selfie with the vintage Stem Cider truck in the background. Following a less than ideal selfie (which should have really tipped Amanda off!), he grabbed her hands and started sharing how much she meant to him and how perfect God's timing was. He then knelt down on one knee and proposed. Following a "YES!" and a kiss, they turned to hear cheering from across the lawn and patio of the restaurant. It was captured in photos and surprise surprise - their friends never showed up.....

These two chose a new beautiful venue near Morrison, Woodlands, as the backdrop for their fall wedding. With views of the surrounding hills and the cutest barn, it's a perfect location for family and friends to celebrate. Their October day arrived sunny and crisp. Family from all over the world (literally!) came to celebrate with these two. They included their nieces and nephews into the wedding but kept it simple with no wedding party. I've honestly never been around such a gracious and fun group of people. Oh, and the dance party. I will never forget.

When Amanda read her vows to Fumba in the Malawian language Chichewa, it was truly a magical moment.

I could go on and on and on. But let's get to the photos! Congrats, you two. Seriously, we adored being a small part of your big day and forever wish you blessings as your journey together.

Amanda and Fumba's wedding planning advice: "In the midst of wedding planning stress, remember the reason you're celebrating! From a strategy/tech perspective, we utilized shared Todoist and Google docs which helped with collaboration and eased communication!"
