Claire and Robert met at graduate school in the fall of 2013. But instead of the usual way of getting to know one another through dates, these two became close friends playing soccer and skiing and socializing at local bars with friends. They fell in love with each other's passion for adventure.
Robert proposed with Claire's great grandmother's ring on the outdoor patio of the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. before attending a musical together. Of course, Claire said YES!
I met these two just days before their Estes Park wedding. Being out of state, we weren't able to do their engagement session until a couple days prior to the big day. We met up for an afternoon of exploring around Rocky Mountain National Park, where I found out that Robert had just hiked Longs Peak a few days prior. Y'all - he lives in D.C.... yup, stud.
These two chose SkyView at Fall River in Estes Park as the perfect backdrop for their fall mountain wedding. They love Colorado and wanted to share its beauty with friends and family. And boy, did we have a perfect day!
I adored everything about their wedding - from Claire's amazing dress and bouquet (omg!!) to Robert's unique pocket boutonniere and all the moments in between! Their favorite wedding memory: "Hearing the vows we wrote one another and dancing on the dance floor with each other and our best friends and family."
The couple's biggest wedding planning advice: "Don't obsess over details. The people and the place are what makes all the wedding day memories memorable!"
Congrats you two! Many more years of happy hiking and blessings together!
