Gabrielle and Zach's Spring Wedding at the Tapestry House in Laporte - Colorado Wedding Photographer

I first met Gabrielle and Zach at a bridal show last year and they were winners of my $400 off any wedding package drawing! When they said they had booked their April wedding at the beautiful Tapestry House near Fort Collins, my heart did a happy dance. Ten years ago, my husband and I were married at that same place and it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Gabby and I met up over brews to chat details and I instantly knew working with her and Zach would be so fun! It's been an honor getting to know them over the past year, between shooting engagement photos in Winter Park (if you missed it, catch up HERE..... these are some of my favorite photos of ALL TIME), a Christmas styled wedding earlier this year, and now their beautiful spring wedding.

These two met in high school. While they technically aren't highschool sweethearts, we'll just say that you'd never know. They reconnected after a bit of good ol' Facebook profile stalking by Zach. They enjoyed a summer motorcycle ride about Horsetooth Reservoir and blizzards at DQ.

When it came time to propose, Zach brought an element of fun to the event. He and Gabby enjoyed the day out at Big Beaver Brewery for one of her favorite annual events: Girl Scout cookies and beer pairings. While they were away, his brother and parents snuck into their home and set up a scavenger hunt. When they arrived home, Gabby found a note on their dog's crate, stating that getting their puppy together was the first step they took together towards becoming forever. More notes were found and detailed each step they had taken together as a couple, ending on their front porch. It was at sunset and Zach even had their family hiding to capture the moment as he dropped to a knee to ask her to be his forever.

In Gabrielle's words, "we love the light one another brings into the relationship. No matter how the other is feeling our connection makes it possible to see the bright side when we are together, which always brings a smile to our faces and of course, makes us laugh and enjoy the moment."

They chose Tapestry House as the backdrop for their wedding. Their special day arrived sunny and warm. I jokingly thought, "there's no way the weather will be perfect for their April wedding in Colorado, since we had perfect weather for their engagement session". Well, the joke is on me. We had the most beautiful day.

Gabby was all smiles as she got ready and pampered by her best friends. Zach relaxed with his family and closest guys, and shared a first look with Gabby that MELTED ALL OF US. In fact, it was such a beautiful moment that it ended up being their favorite moment of their wedding. Zach's reaction to her was fairytale-worthy and they shared a few tears and laughs together before making it official during a heart-felt ceremony.

Everyone around Gabby and Zach can also see the light and joy these two share. Congrats, you two! Keep playing cornhole and trying new beers! I can't wait to see what your future holds!
