Katie & Agustin's Spring Wedding at Della Terra Mountain Chateau - Estes Park Wedding Photographer

While living in Orlando, Katie flew to San Francisco for a job interview and met Agustin for the first time (who was her interviewer!). She was offered the job with him in spring of 2017 and by early 2018, they were officially dating. Their relationship quickly grew and they realized they were best friends and always on the same page together.

Some time later, they were enjoying a ski getaway with some friends in Telluride. They decided to go snowshoeing. Agustin was asking every local he came across for a "secluded trail" for their adventure and Katie was convinced he was either going to murder her, or purpose to her. They hiked 3.5 miles on a deserted trail to a mostly abandoned town. After exploring the town, Agustin popped the question! Katie said YES and they snowshoed 3.5 miles back to town before they could share the exciting news!

I was so thrilled when I met these two love birds for the first time for engagement photos on Boreas Pass near Breckenridge. They are gracious and easy to be around! We had the best summer evening exploring the area to create their portraits. If you missed their engagement photo session, you can see the highlights here!

Katie and Agustin chose beautiful Estes Park as the backdrop for their big day. Della Terra Mountain Chateau is truly a gem of a venue, with surrounding mountains, wildlife, and a stunning indoor space. Guests can feel connected to nature while enjoying the stellar service Della Terra offers.

While I secretly hoping for a snowy day, their wedding day arrived sunny and breezy. Wind is a common occurrence in the spring here in Colorado, especially in the mountains! But in the end, they had PERFECT weather with warm temps and mountain views. According to Agustin, Katie has the "worst weather luck" (including a 10-year hurrican in Hawaii and off-season monsoon in the Philippines!). But it ended up being their favorite memory of the day! "We could not have asked for better weather! Wow, we smile just thinking about how gorgeous the day was and how perfect it made everything. From outdoor photos to ceremony and then cocktail hour and late night photos - it was perfect and we're so thankful."

Without further ado, let's get to the photos! We thoroughly enjoyed being part of your special day, you two! Thank you again and much love to you both.

Couple's biggest wedding planning advice: "Don't worry about the little details. We made decisions quickly and moved on. At the end of the day, you want to look forward to the day itself not some crazy vision you've built in your head that is nearly impossible to live up to. We also had a strict understanding of 'you only get a say in something if you care more than 80%' - and that went both ways! So we were pretty aligned with what were joint decisions versus executive ones."
