Laura and Evan met through mutual friends at the University of Virginia and while they knew of each other, they didn’t share a first date until after they had both graduated. They went to the Hirshhorn Museum in DC and their relationship began to develop through laughs and shared interests.

Fast forward a few years. Evan decided it was time to take the next step and surprised Laura with a sapphire ring at Sapphire Point Overlook in Dillon, CO on a beautiful spring day surrounded by snowy mountains. Of course, she said YES! I had the pleasure of meeting these two in the same area for their engagement photos last year and we had the best time creating memories and exploring with their pup Ramen!

They chose the urban rooftop vibes of Denver Athletic Club as the backdrop for their black tie event. From their stationery, vow cards, and custom poster that Evan designed to be displayed outside the Buell Theater as a surprise for Laura, to dodging rain drops during portraits and Laura’s incredible party outfit, every single detail was perfect.

Laura and Evan’s downtown Denver wedding was jam-packed with laughs, adventure, and joy. From start to finish these two made their special day 100% them, while showing love and appreciation for their tribe of friends and family. And when the wind kicked up and rain drops started to fall during their ceremony, they endured and shared their first kiss with the elements swirling around them!

Oh and did I mention their huge custom bride and groom donuts from Voodoo Doughnut?! And the oragami cranes that Evan’s dad made for each guest?! So many unique and beautiful touches.
