Meredith and Jonathan met as servers at Castle Pines Country Club in 2013. They shared a first date that summer at the Elephant Bar and quickly bonded over their shared love for God, goofy personalities, and loyal hearts.
Six years later, they decided to take a trip to San Diego around Valentine's Day. Jonathan already had purchased a ring, but didn't want to get flagged through airport security to he made up a little game to play: whoever could get through security the fastest won, and loser had to buy winner a beer. Meredith being a competitive person got through security lines the quickest, which allowed wiggle room for Jonathan to deal with any metal detection.
When they landed in San Diego, Jonathan insisted they dress up for a nice dinner that night, but Meredith just wanted to relax in comfy clothes and do a fancy dinner on another night. So in leggings, baggy sweatshirt, and high ponytail the two of them went for a walk on the beach at sunset. Jonathan told her he wanted to show her a specific area of the beach near Hotel Del Coronado. As they were walking towards the spot (with photographer waiting!), Meredith was absolutely caught off guard when she turned around and Jonathan was on a knee asking her to marry him. As the photographer came closer, she realized what was happening and the tears started falling. Best surprise ever. Of course, she SAID YES!
Their September wedding day arrived sunny and warm. With the lush green course of The Sanctuary and views of Daniels Park, these two were surrounded by their family and friends to say I DO. As Meredith shared a first look with her dad, the tears flowed and when she walked down the aisle to Jonathan, his eyes were full of love: "Everything went blurry except for you walking towards me”. They shared vows, exchanged rings, and the party started!
The couple's biggest wedding planning advice: "Our advice would be to take in every single moment. It goes by too fast. Enjoy the moments getting ready, the hiccups that will happen, because something will be missed or forgotten but it’s OK. The more you plan beforehand the less stressful it is on your actual wedding day. Always remember it’s about you two and your special day!"
Congrats, you guys! Amazing day for an amazing couple!
