Mira and Kevin have a special place in my heart. Due to unforeseen circumstances, these two came into my life in March and I knew instantly we'd be a good fit for their photography. They were planning a spring wedding at Arrowhead Golf Course and we chatted wedding details and got excited as their big day approached.
Mira and Kevin met online and have a rather interesting story. Their first date was at Johnson's Corner near Johnstown where they split a cinnamon roll and talked for three hours straight. Shortly after, they were inseparable and owe the start of their journey to that questionable "truck stop" first date.
Kevin fell in love with Mira's motivation and beauty, both inside and out. Mira adored Kevin's kindness, patience, and adorable laugh. Fast forward a bit: they decided to adopt a puppy and into their lives came Zelda, an energetic shepherd with a princess personality.
In January of 2018, they traveled to Moab with 8-week-old Zelda. During a hike in the area, Kevin dropped to a knee and proposed to Mira, who was totally surprised! Of course, she said YES!
They chose Arrowhead Golf Course for it's beautiful views of the red rocks. Their May wedding day arrived in style: sunny, warm, and windy. When I arrived to meet Mira early in the day, she was surrounded by the sweetest girls and all smiles. Kevin was sharing drinks and kind words with his guys, and when they shared their first look, there were tears and laughs and a world of emotions.
Their wedding was full of American traditions, along with Jewish traditions. From their ketubah signing ceremony to the 7 blessings and hava nagila, it was a day filled with utter joy by all who attended.
The couple's biggest wedding planning advice: "Remember that whatever you choose, if it makes you happy, it’s the right thing. No one else gets to have an opinion about your wedding, unless their opinion is that it’s fantastic and they are super happy for you! Also, HIRE SARAH AS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER. No joke, she and her team were a huge part of making our day fun and special (and smooth)!"
