Rani and Joseph met back in second grade and grew up going to church together. Their relationship began during a church retreat in summer of 2013 when they hit it off as great friends and exchanged phone numbers. A month later, they went on their first date to the county fair and got rained out. But that didn't stop the two of them from falling deeply in love. Joseph quickly fell in love with Rani's beautiful eyes while Rani was immediately attracted to Joseph's sense of humor.
They dated for several years and in May of 2020, Joseph decided to propose to Rani. They were enjoying a summer vacation in San Diego, Rani's favorite place on earth after growing up spending time there each year. They drove out to Coronado Beach and Joseph asked Rani to marry him in the rain on the beach. Of course, she said YES!
These two dreamed of a traditional Catholic wedding and after many changes of plans due to the pandemic, were able to move forward with a small intimate wedding with their closest family and friends. They chose St. Paul Catholic Church in Colorado Springs for their mass ceremony, and their good friend Erika (and rockstar wedding planner and owner of Soiree Bridal Boutique!) brought the details together for a small cocktails and cake reception at her bridal shop.
These two decided to share vows to one another privately before their ceremony. It was a beautiful and intimate moment with tears and giggles. They are also planning a larger celebration event this coming June for their huge group of family and friends who couldn't attend this past December! I'm so honored to have been a part of their special day and cannot wait for the celebration to come!
