Sarah and Jak met in 2017 at Coors Field, when Jak was a bartender and Sarah was there for a work event. After the game, they ended up hitting Breckenridge Brewing with all of their coworkers, which they consider their first date. Sarah was attracted to Jak's great sense of humor (and dad jokes!) while Jak instantly fell in love with Sarah's smile and easy-going personality. They quickly became friends and their relationship grew!
Every year, they would go on a snowboarding trip for Valentine's Day. Jak always told her that he wouldn't propose on a holiday. So away they went, and she had no idea what was coming! While they were ice skating in Park City, Jak pretended to fall. When Sarah went to help him up, he dropped back to one knee and told her she's the only girl in the world for him. Sarah began to full-on ugly cry (you go girl!) and the rest was all a blur as the world spun in excitement. Jak finally had to ask, "so that means yes?" Sarah said YES!
I met them last fall for engagement (and family!) photos in the Boulder area. Oh my gosh, these two are the most gracious and loving people (and gorgeous too!). We had a blast exploring the flatirons near Boulder with the most beautiful sunset.
They chose Arrowhead Golf Course for the backdrop of their wedding for its beautiful views of the surrounding Colorado red rocks and great location. Their July wedding date arrived hot and sunny. While the wildfire smoke from other states sure is annoying, it was a small blessing in softening the light and keeping the temperatures down for their big day.
The day flew by and in the blink of an eye, they were married and off to the Maldives for a honeymoon of a lifetime! Congrats, you two! We had the best time being part of your special day!
The couple's biggest wedding planning advice: "If something doesn’t go as planned nobody will even know it was planned in the first place. Just go with the flow!"
