Sarah & Ryan's Early Fall Wedding at Sweet Heart Winery in Loveland, Colorado - Northern Colorado Wedding Photography

Bride and Groom walking near Devils Backbone in Loveland Colorado

Sarah and Ryan's beginning is a classic story of two college freshmen living three doors apart and taking a leap of faith that lead to love! These two attended CSU and initially got to know one another during the icebreaker games and activites that all freshman have to endure. Their growing ground of friends kept them busy with concerts, sports, and college adventures. Fortunately, Ryan had a terrible roomamte that kept him needing time away so he spent a lot of time with Sarah to avoid the roommate! Their time together lead to deep conversations and the inability to deny their feelings for each other. They went out on a first date in October 2013 and the rest is history!

Almost 10 years later, they were on a spring weekend trip in Steamboat Springs as the weather started to warm up. Ryan suggested that they take a morning hike up to Fish Creek Falls with Ryan's lifelong friend, David. David is the game warden up in the Steamboat area and brought his dog, Portage, and his camera along because of "work stuff". Ryan asked David to take a picture of the two of them in front of the waterfall. Ryan then dropped to a knee to ask the question he knew he wanted to ask for years. Sarah said "yes!". After a kiss, Sarah said "I haven't even had my coffee yet!". And as a funny twist to the story, all of a sudden, David's dog Portage runs off into the woods. The three of them chased after him for a second until they all realizes that he was chasing after a moose! Fortunately, we were able to get Portage to come back to us and the moose graciously decided not to attack. They made it safe and sound back to their cars and began dreaming of the perfect wedding day.

Sarah and Ryan chose Sweet Heart Winery in Loveland, Colorado for its beautiful grounds and intimate, casual vibes. With views of the foothills, Sweet Heart boasts a scenic ceremony site, indoor barrel room reception space, delicious wines, and impeccable service.

They knew they also wanted to include their furbabies, Fenway and Wrigley, in their special day. Every detail was unique, from their custom National Park sign and beautiful ceremony arch to the table numbers and Sarah's hair pieces made from her mother's dress lace.
