Rachel and Mitch. Mitch and Rachel. No matter how you say it, these two were made for one another. They met in high school, around senior homecoming. They went to see the move Paranormal Activity as their first date a few months later. From then on,they were inseperable and their love for each other grew. Rachel fell in love with Mitch's easy-going personality. His laughter and smile are infectious and he fills any room he walks into with positivity and joy.
Rachel had just finished a busy season with work. Mitch took her down to Colorado Springs for a date day away. They enjoyed Garden of the Gods that morning and spent the afternoon at the Broadmoor Hotel. That evening, just before dinner, Mitch asked Rachel to be his forever on a bridge over the lake.
These two chose the Denver Athletic Club for it's urban rooftop views and close downtown proximity. They both love the outdoors and enjoy spending their free time golfing, hiking, and playing tennis, so the DAC was the perfect backdrop for their special day. When we arrived, Rachel was surrounded by her best friends and family, who were the sweetest and most supportive group of women ever. Mitch was enjoying his time in the billiards room, throwing laughs and jokes around with his best friends.
For their first look, we hopped into electric tuk-tuks and away we went through the streets of Denver! As Rachel's mom and sister helped walk her towards him, Mitch was a mix of deep breaths and smiles. And when he turned around to see his bride, there wasn't a dry eye on the bridge. His reaction was one of complete awe and surprise.
We spent some time on the river bike trail (dodging bikes, scooters, and pedestrians!) with their family and wedding party, and enjoyed the tuk-tuk ride back to DAC to prepare for their ceremony.
After they shared vows and a first kiss, we ushered them away for sunset photos on top of the parking garage for rooftop views. They danced the night away to a rocking downtown party that we'll never forget!
When asked for their biggest wedding planning advice, they said, "For planning - don’t rush, create one top goal/priority and don’t let anything change that goal. For the wedding - take as many moments as you can steal together and take mental pictures all day."
Congrats, you two. What a day! We adored working with you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness!
