Tavri & Darryl's Private Lake Summer Wedding - Colorado Wedding Photography - Sarah Goff Photography

Tavri and Darryl began a year-long friendship after meeting through mutual friends. Eventually their feelings grew and they shared a first date in Estes Park for the day. Tavri began to fall in love with Darryl's huge heart and adventurous personality, while Darryl fell in love with Tavri's ambition and love for family.

These two love boating and traveling, and while they were enjoying a trip to Mexico with her family, Darryl planned a sneaky proposal. The resort offered a free photo shoot, so of course it was the perfect way to capture the moment while keeping it a secret from Tavri. During the photo shoot, Tavri noticed Darryl and her family were acting strange and the shoot seemed to keep dragging on and on. Eventually Tavri had had enough and started to walk away, just as Darryl dropped to a knee and said, "Tavri, so you know you're my best friend... will you marry me?" After tears and realizing there was a ring involved, she said YES!

Tavri and Darryl planned a beautiful summer wedding at her parent's house on a private lake near Longmont, with a small wedding party and their daughter as flower girl. The day was hot and sunny, with scattered storms in the forecast. As their ceremony was about to begin, a massive thunderstorm kicked up and the rain poured! Their guests huddled under the tent, and within twenty minutes the storm passed, a rainbow appeared, and these two got married!

As Tavri walked down the aisle, panic set in with 80 guests watching her. She fiercely locked eyes with Darryl and refused to look away. Soon, they shared vows and exchanged rings, sealed the deal with a kiss, and it was off to party the night away. The end of the night was capped off by a boat ride on the lake, watching a fireworks display being shot off from the beach. What a night!

The couple's biggest wedding planning advice: "Make it what you what, not what others expect. Slow down and enjoy the process because it really only happens once."

Congrats, you two!!
