A First Look… Sort of

Before the ceremony, Scott was anxiously waiting for what he thought would be his First Look with Jessi. Instead, his best man appeared wearing a wedding dress. The surprise and laughter that followed set the tone for the entire day. It was one of those unforgettable moments that reminded everyone exactly who Jessi and Scott are—a couple who doesn’t take themselves too seriously and knows how to enjoy every second together.

Private Vows Filled With Emotion

During their first look and surrounded by their fiercely loving family and closest friends, Jessi and Scott shared private vows together. Away from the excitement of the day, they took a few quiet moments to promise forever to one another. It was emotional, heartfelt, and incredibly personal. These intimate moments often become some of the most meaningful memories of a wedding day, allowing couples to simply be present with each other before the celebration begins.  They later exchanged rings and officially became husband and wife beneath the trees.

Colorado weather always has a way of keeping everyone on their toes. Just after we finished portraits and guests had settled in for dinner, dark clouds rolled overhead and the skies completely opened up. A torrential summer downpour swept through Creekside Terrace.  Instead of worrying, everyone leaned into the moment. There were soaked shoes, laughter echoing through the reception space, with guests helping one another stay dry. Watching Jessi and Scott embrace every unexpected moment reminded everyone that the best wedding days aren’t defined by perfect weather—they’re defined by joy, resilience, and choosing each other through every surprise.
