If you’re dreaming of a Brookside Gardens wedding in Berthoud, Colorado, this beautiful summer celebration is all the inspiration you need. With warm sunshine, lush garden vibes, and a couple whose love radiated through the entire day, this wedding was the perfect summer event.
Some love stories take the scenic route. These two first met in middle school, where they shared mutual friends but never imagined they’d someday be planning a wedding together. During the uncertainty of 2020, they reconnected after both moving into their first apartments. What began as friendship quickly turned into something much deeper. Their first official date was at WonderVu Café in Coal Creek, Colorado—a cozy little spot that has remained one of their favorite places ever since.
Their proposal story is one for the books. Every year they make a trip to Breckenridge, and visiting Sapphire Point Overlook has become a tradition. Wanting to avoid the crowds over Fourth of July weekend, Andrew insisted they leave before sunrise. His future bride? Not exactly thrilled about the 6:30 a.m. wake-up call. As he repeatedly reminded her they needed to “beat the crowd,” she grew increasingly skeptical—especially before she’d had any caffeine. But the moment they reached the empty overlook, everything changed. She set up her camera to capture the beautiful mountain scenery, turned around, and found Andrew on one knee. The surprise couldn’t have been more perfect. Now, looking back, she says she only feels a little guilty about being so cranky that morning.
A Beautiful Summer Wedding at Brookside Gardens
Their Brookside Gardens wedding was everything a Colorado summer celebration should be. The day was hot, bright, and filled with sunshine. Brookside Gardens offers couples a peaceful setting that feels both elegant and intimate, making it an incredible venue for those wanting an outdoor Colorado wedding surrounded by natural beauty.
From the moment the day began, these two carried themselves with such quiet confidence in their relationship. There wasn’t any need for grand displays or dramatic moments to prove how deeply they loved each other. They shared a “first touch” under an arbor, reading private vows to one another. Shortly later, Jacque walked down the aisle with her dad to join Andrew during a heartfelt ceremony. I loved all their personalized touches! I think my favorite was their recognition of family members who have passed away. They included framed photos of these important people, walked down the aisle by close family members to the song “Save a Seat” by Alex Warren. It was such a heartfelt and powerful gesture.
When asked about their favorite wedding memory, their answer was immediate: their private last dance. I’m a huge fan of choosing to share a private last dance to really soak in the last moments of the day. The excitement settles, the music plays, and for just a few minutes, you get to simply enjoy being married. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful wedding day. Congrats, Jacque and Andrew!
