I first met Emily and Justin for their engagement photo session last fall in beautiful Golden (if you missed their session, check it out here!) and we had a great time exploring around Clear Creek Park chatting about our lives and their wedding plans. When they came back to book their wedding with me, I was thrilled! They are such a sweet and personable couple, easy to be around.
Emily and Justin's first date was going to see The Hunger Games (haha!). They were supposed to see the movie with a group of Justin's friends, but they all "cancelled" last minute leaving just the two of them. While they were dating, they traveled to Paris for a week and spent the time walking around the romantic city finding coffee shops together.
One day, Justin took Emily to Cherry Creek State Park with the excuse of checking out a new place to fly drones. That evening, after Emily took a few sunset pictures, Justin took her to a spot where he had a picnic planned with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. They watched the sunset together and at the end he asked her to marry him.
As their wedding day approached, we finalized timeline and prepared for a perfect summer day. With its large stone walls and simple back lawn, Blackstone Country Club was a beautiful and elegant backdrop for their special day and we even had a few clouds in the sky to help shade guests during the ceremony!
If I had to choose one word to describe Emily, it would be: graceful. She is graceful in her words, her demeanor, and her wedding planning. She was radiant in her dress and was all smiles she walked up behind Justin during their first look.
Justin is solid and lives completely for Emily. They are one of those couples, perfect beyond their years and totally made for one another.
When asked for their favorite memory of their wedding, they said: "The moment our eyes met as Emily was walking down the aisle and knowing that we were finally getting married."
Their wedding colors of navy and gold set an elegant tone for the event and little accents of glitter added a fun glamorous feel in the mix! We enjoyed every minute of their wedding and cannot wait to finish up their gallery of photos!
