There are few things I love more in life than being a small part of a wedding day, a helping hand, a witness to a sacred rite of passage, and most of all a friend to my amazing couples! Yes, I'm exhausted after a wedding day, yes I'm sweaty and gross and generally cranky by the time I drive home. But the next morning, I'm ready to do it again.
Donnetta and Dana met on a Southwest Airlines flight. Dana was returning home from a crazy trip to Las Vegas and wasn't terribly in a socializing mood. But something about Donnetta attracted him and these two recently tied the knot surrounded by a crazy fun group of friends and family.
They planned a beautiful, simple wedding at Pelican Lakes Wedding Island in Windsor to celebrate their nuptials. Pelican Lakes has one of the prettiest Bridal Suites for the girls I've seen yet and boasts a beach backdrop in the middle of Northern Colorado.
With their wedding colors of shades of purple and gray, I just loved each and every detail put into their wedding! From the beautiful flowers by Bliss Wedding Florist to the cute airplane cookie favors, every little part of Donnetta and Dana's wedding was a fun reflection of them.
My favorite part of their wedding day: as Donnetta walked up behind Dana just moments before their First Look, I could feel the emotion and anticipation before they even laid eyes on one another! As he turned around to greet his beautiful bride, my stomach was full of butterflies and love for these two!
