I will totally admit - being hired to photograph another photographer's wedding is slightly terrifying. When I met Neal and Diana last winter, Neal knew exactly what he wanted in a photographer for their July wedding. But after chatting with these two love birds, I knew we were a perfect fit! Shortly after, we met up in Evergreen for their engagement photos and had such a great time.
They planned a summer wedding at the beautiful Arrowhead Golf Club and it was perfect. In true Colorado style, we had rain sprinkles, sun, and even a rainbow as they celebrated with their friends and family.
Neal is from Oregon, Diana from small town Iowa. They met for the first time and shared a sushi date almost six years ago and closed the restaurant down that night. Their time together has been spent hiking and exploring Colorado, taking a trip back to Diana's home town and farm in the midwest, and being together.
This past December, the two of them took a trip to Maui with Diana's family. They had been talking about the "next step" in their relationship and Diana was hoping and suspecting for a proposal but didn't want to get her hopes up... The last night of their vacation, they attended a luau at the Grand Wailea Resort. After dinner, Neal stole Diana away for a walk along the ocean, dropped to one knee, and asked her to be his forever. It was 100% perfect and they quickly planned a beautiful wedding at Arrowhead Golf Club.
Their wedding ceremony was dotted with tears, giggles, and so much love. As Diana and her dad walked down the aisle towards her future, there were tears streaming down Neal's cheeks. They shared vows and a first kiss that stole every heart in attendance. And after the formalities and quiet portraits around the golf course, these two partied the evening away!
When asked what their favorite wedding memory is...."Neal's favorite memory is seeing me walk down the aisle towards him just beaming with happiness, and both of us just so excited to spend the rest of our lives together! Another favorite memory of the wedding is just looking around and being surrounded by our amazing friends and family that have supported us throughout our 5 1/2 year relationship. It is so special and rare having all of our favorite people in one room together!"
