When Tabitha and Dan contacted me and told me they were planning an elopement at Daniels Park + backyard reception, I was giddy! Their love story began back in 2008 when they took Tabitha's dog for a walk followed by a Starbucks date and evening sushi.
More recently, the two of them got back together and began talking marriage. This past March, after completing the Running O' the Green as a family, Tabitha and Dan went for a drive to enjoy the extra hour of daylight. Dan drove her to Daniels Park where they made it official.
Their wedding day arrived and in true Colorado summer fashion, we had a blue sky and hardly a cloud in sight. We arrived to Daniels Park to select the perfect location for their ceremony and settled on an overlook with easy access and epic views of the Front Range.
As Tabitha walked with her dad towards Dan, they locked eyes and the world stood still. And as their officiant Chris pronounced them husband and wife, they shared a passionate first kiss.
After a few portraits, we headed home to their backyard celebration complete with BBQ, beverages, and balloons! They were surrounded by so many close family members and friends, it was a blast. When asked for their favorite wedding memory, they said "We both have two: when we both saw each other and once everyone started eating at the reception and we both felt like we could relax."
