I met Chloe and Patrick last winter for coffee and we excitedly chatted photography and weddings. They are fun-hearted couple and wanted a photographer who could really represent their personalities and love for fun together. During their engagement photos this summer, we enjoyed some time in Rocky Mountain National Park. There were cuddles, giggles, and a little football. If you missed their engagement photos, you can catch up here!
They chose an October date, perfect for a beautiful fall wedding in Colorado. Don't let the photos fool you though, it was CHILLY that day, but sunny and colorful! Chloe and Patrick always dreamed of getting married in a church and when they found Dixon Chapel of Cherry Hills Community Church, it was a perfect fit. With beautiful stained-glass windows and dramatic architecture, it provided them a lovely place to share vows.
These two met in high school and even had their first date as sophomores, attending the movie Across the Universe. They dated just two short weeks during high school, but reconnected after graduation. Fast forward almost a decade; Patrick decided it was time to make it official. While on a family vacation in Kauai, they decided to go for a hike on the Wai Koa Loop Trail. Patrick asked for a picture in front of the stone dam; after a couple of photos, he dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him. Of course, she said YES!
Chloe's favorite thing about Patrick: "How hard he works to provide the best life for me. He's my protector and my soulmate".
Patrick's favorite thing about Chloe: "I love how she builds up the areas in my life that need help, not to mention how beautiful and intelligent she is".
Their favorite wedding memory was exiting the church as Mr and Mrs in a cloud of bubbles blown by their guests and driving around Lone Tree Golf Course for their portraits. What a fun day!
Thanks for trusting me to capture your big day, you guys! It was an honor and just a plain ol' fun day! Cheers!
