Years later, after getting the all-important go-ahead from Reagan’s mom, Tyler officially asked her out. As for their first date? That’s still up for debate: Tyler swears it was the homecoming dance, while Reagan insists it was a sweet picnic not long after. Years later, Tyler had big plans for a surprise proposal—a personalized scavenger hunt filled with inside jokes, favorite memories, and even their dog, Lily. But pretty much everything that could go wrong, did. Reagan accidentally threw away the first clue, Lily nearly spoiled another, and Tyler had to pretend it was just a Valentine’s Day activity to keep the surprise alive. It wasn’t until they reached their favorite Sonic that Reagan finally caught on. After a quick detour to pick up Lily, they ended up at a snowy lakeside spot near their first apartment. Despite the chaos and distractions (including a barking dog), Tyler got down on one knee—and Reagan said yes.

Their wedding day arrived in true late June fashion – hot, yet uniquely humid. They were both in good spirits as they prepared for the day. It was immediately clear to me that they put so much heart and thought into their wedding details. From their lovely garden-themed invitations and stunning florals by Dahlia Dream Designs, to their personal letters and the various ways they included their dogs in their decor, every single detail was perfect. A short time later, their friends and family filtered in and the ceremony began! Everyone was laughing with happy tears as Tyler read his vows while holding Reagan’s finger in a pinky-promise. It was such a genuine and beautiful moment!

One of Reagan and Tyler’s favorite memories from their wedding day was their first look—a moment they’ll never forget. Although Tyler was hesitant about it at first, it ended up being one of the most meaningful parts of the day. Sharing that quiet time together before the ceremony helped calm their nerves, and exchanging notes and gifts made it feel even more personal and heartfelt. Another standout moment—at least for Reagan—was during their bride and groom portraits, when Tyler accidentally dropped her during a dip they had practiced countless times. It was the only time he ever tripped, of course, but thankfully they were both fine and couldn’t stop laughing. It turned into one of those perfectly imperfect moments that made the day all the more memorable.

The wedding itself goes by way too fast, and it is far too easy to get wrapped up in everything else going on around you. At the end of the day, it is day meant to celebrate your love.”
