A Romantic Estes Park Mountain Wedding | Boulders at Black Canyon Inn
Bringing Stunning Views of the Great Outdoors Indoors
Robyn and Matt’s wedding at Boulders at Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park was a perfect blend of rustic elegance and untethered fun.
These two ran in the same social circles and knew of one another, but didn’t begin dating until some time later. In August 2025, they were on a hike with family when Matt asked Robyn for a photo with mountains in the background. He surprised her by dropping to a knee and asking her to marry him. Of course, she said YES and they began planning their dream wedding in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
They chose Boulders at Black Canyon Inn for it’s natural beauty and modern feel. Located on the hillsides of Estes Park, Colorado, Boulders at Black Canyon Inn offers couples a wedding experience unlike any other. One of the venue’s most captivating features is its ability to bring the beauty of the Rocky Mountains indoors, creating a seamless connection between elegant event spaces and the breathtaking natural landscape outside.
With expansive windows framing panoramic mountain views, guests can enjoy the grandeur of Colorado’s outdoors from the comfort of a beautifully designed ceremony and reception space. Natural light floods the venue throughout the day, while sunset creates a warm and romantic atmosphere for evening celebrations. As a experienced wedding photographer, I love how this venue combines sophisticated architecture with Colorado’s rugged beauty. Every window offers a unique perspective and every corner of the venue provides opportunities for timeless photographs that showcase both the couple and the incredible landscape.
Robyn and Matt opted to share a first look just before their ketubah signing ceremony. With immediate family present to witness this significant moment, it was a beautifully emotional ceremony that served as a tangible representation of their promises. Shortly later, the ceremony room filled with guests and their grandmothers walked down the aisle as “Grandma Girls”, hanging out chocolate kisses. It was such an endearing moment. With rings exchanged and vows shared, they were pronounced husband and wife! Let the party begin!
We finished the night under the stars as Robyn and Matt took a break in the fresh mountain air. Congrats, you two! I’m so honored to have been a small part of your epic day.
