Some couples leave a mark on your heart, whether from a common hobby or interest, similar beliefs, or simply personality. Amanda and Noah are one of those couples. Amanda and Noah met during college at Colorado School of Mines. They got engaged shortly after graduation, when Noah surprised Amanda by proposing on Clear Creek, with their friends and family hiding in the bushes to watch. She said YES and they began planning the wedding of their dreams.
I met up with these two last fall in Steamboat Springs for engagement photos while I was in the area for another couple's wedding. We enjoyed the afternoon at the Yampa Botanic Gardens and headed to chase sunset at Steamboat Lake. Instead of chasing sunset, we were chased by an intense thunderstorm that created the most beautiful photos!
They chose a beautiful, classic venue as the backdrop for their special day. Crooked Willow Farms is truly one of the most effortlessly stunning venues in Colorado. Their date arrived with dramatic clouds and warm, and by the time their ceremony arrived, the clouds parted into full sun. Their faith-filled ceremony laid a solid foundation for their marriage to start on and soon they shared a first kiss as husband and wife!
Their reception started with a champagne toast and grew into the party of the year! Amanda and Noah shared a last dance privately before exiting through a tunnel of glowsticks to send them off into the night.

The couple's biggest wedding planning advice: "1) Hire Sarah :) 2) Have a wedding coordinator (at least day-of) – it is money well spent so you and your family can just enjoy your day. 3) Don’ worry about others’ expectations for your wedding – do what you want and make the most of it!"
