Carrieann and Ronald's Blue and Orange Wedding at Brush Canyon Ranch - Colorado Wedding Photography

Four weeks ago, we packed up the car and headed south to the tiny town of Rye, Colorado to join Carrie and Ronald for their big day at beautiful Brush Canyon Ranch. What a beautiful area of our state! With the Wet Mountains as a picturesque backdrop, Brush Canyon Ranch is a spectacular little hidden gem. And Carrie and Ronald's unique blue and summer orange color palette (Go Broncos!) came together perfectly for their wedding day.

Carrie and Ronald's history goes way back to middle school and while they didn't date until after graduating high school, they've known one another for most of their lives. They reconnected back in 2013 at Cowboy's Bar and Nightclub in downtown Colorado Springs and haven't looked back.

They are both crazy animal lovers. Ronald owns two exotic reptile pet stores (Scales n Tails) and they have a small zoo at their house with a variety of reptiles and six (yes, 6!) doggos!

When it came time to propose, Ronald dropped to a knee to ask Carrie to marry him at the top of the Manitou Springs incline in 2015. A friend was hiding in the bushes to record the event! Of course, Carrie said YES! And over the next four years, they were asked many times when the big day would happen. Life got away from them and so in 2019 Ronald re-proposed to Carrie while skiing at Breckenridge. He explained to her how he wanted forever with her and that they owed it to each other to plan a perfect wedding.

So, on August 15, 2020 these two tied the knot in the shadow of the mountains and surrounded by their freaking rad family and friends.

Oh, and seriously their pup Zeus was the real star of the show.

When asked for their biggest wedding planning advice, Carrie replied "My advice for any couple that is planning a wedding would be to know your vision and to not let anybody interfere with that vision and don't let anybody make you feel like your stress is not warranted because planning a wedding is a big deal and it is very stressful but in the end it's the most amazing feeling when it it all comes together. I know that myself as a bride I did majority of the planning for the wedding but I could not have done it without my husband's support emotionally and physically."
