Jenna and Richard are married! A Grand Lake, Colorado Yacht Club Wedding - Sarah Goff Photography

As Jenna finished her Electrical Engineering degree and started making connections online, she reached out to Richard for mentorship and resume advice. From their first meeting at Jay Alexanders, their relationship continued to strengthen. You could say it was ELECTRIC from the beginning! When it came time to take the next step, Richard planned what he thought would be the most perfect night. He decided to take Jenna out to see a November meteor shower at 3am. Not knowing his plans, she insisted they don't go and his first proposal attempt was thwarted.

That same day, Richard took her to a great biking park. Jenna confessed she was confused since they didn't have any biking on or their bikes. They ended up going anyway to a little spot with 120 degree views of the Front Range mountains, standing on a stone cliff edge. Richard said, "I have brought you here to ask you a question". Jenna was near tears at this point, thinking "Wow, this is it!". He then asks "what would you like for dinner?". Now in full tears, he dropped down to one knee and asked Jenna to marry him. Of course, she said YES!

These two have so much in common, from their passion for boating and snow boarding to their love of year-round cooking together and joking around, it was quickly clear these two are a perfect match.

Jenna and Richard asked me to photograph their wedding at the Grand Lake Yacht Club and I was thrilled to share their special day in such a beautiful location. We had perfect weather with a slight breeze and sunshine. Richard's family has a long time history in the Grand Lake area and the Yacht Club. It was such an honor to celebrate with them.

When asked for their favorite wedding day memory: "Our hand fasting ceremony, actually tying the knot, and reading our personal vows, in front of those who we love and support us. And the bagpipers and cannon were incredible!!"

Their biggest wedding planning advice: "Stay on top of planning. Don’t sweat the small stuff, really don’t! Use friends and family to help and assist as it comes down to the wire. Remember it is your wedding, not your family or friends wedding. Enjoy the days leading up, and the day of, it goes by so quickly you will want to really enjoy!!!!"

Congrats, you two! May you have many years of blessed happiness together!
