Jenni & Jake's Summer Mountain Wedding - Bailey Colorado Wedding Photography

Jenni and Jake's love story began like many other perfect couples: online. They met through the Tinder app and when Jake drove two hours down from the mountains to meet Jenni for their first date, she thought he was either really great or a serial killer. Fortunately, Jake was just really that great.

Their instant connection began with a love for adventure. Jenni quickly fell for Jake's sense of humor and patience, while Jake adored Jenni's intelligence and wit. During their second date, Jake had taken Jenni rockclimbing to a beautiful rock overlooking the backcountry near Beaver Creek. Some time later, Jenni had planned a girl's ski weekend that Jake invited himself on. Jenni couldn't quite figure out why he had invited himself but was very happy to have him join the trip. They ventured back to the rock outcrop where they had shared that second date and climbed up high to get a few photos. Jake insisted they remove their helmets for a couple of photos, but Jenni was ready to get back to snowboarding the epic pow of the day! He persisted and suddenly he got down on one knee to propose! Jenni said YES!

While they currently live in Minnesota, their love for Colorado was at the forefront of wedding planning. They chose the beautiful Deer Creek Mountain Camp as the backdrop for their nuptials. Their wedding day was a perfect mix of sun and storms, creating beautiful colors and dreamy light! It was a delight seeing these two share vows, exchange rings, and celebrate their first hour as Mr and Mrs on a mountaintop! Congrats, you two!

Jenni and Jake's biggest wedding planning advice: "Be very patient with one another!"
