Jordan & Brian's Winter Wedding at Historic Pinecrest - Colorado Mountain Photographer

There is something extra special about couples who share similar faith and a passion for one another. They exude a light that is contagious and soul-filling. Jordan and Brian are exactly that couple.

These two met in high school and shared their first date to see the movie Maze Runner. It was quickly apparent that they were a life-long sort of pair. Jordan fell in love with Brian's always-present smile, while Brian was instantly attracted to Jordan's kindness. Their love for the outdoors, board games, and brewery hopping grew right along side their love for one another.

When it came time to take the next step, Brian planned a perfect weekend away at Jordan's grandparents' cabin near Westcliffe. They spent a day hiking to the top of Music Mountain with the family. When they arrived to the top of the mountain, Brian dropped down to one knee to propose to Jordan, as her brother captured the event in photos!

Jordan and Brian chose the Historic Pinecrest as the quaint and beautiful backdrop for their Colorado mountain wedding. Located in Palmer Lake, this adorable little pocket venue provides stellar service and an easily accessible location for visiting guests. The chapel was recently remodeled with a white interior, making it the perfect blank canvas for their wedding.

Their day arrived sunny and warm for December. Surrounded by their large wedding party and lots of laughs, the two of them prepared for the day. Soon, it was time to share their first look. As Brian turned around to see Jordan, his eyes filled with tears. It was a beautiful moment. He gave his lovely bride a hug and we spent some time for portraits outside the chapel. After their faith-filled ceremony, Jordan and Brian exited the chapel to the ringing of bells and ribbons down the sidewalk lined with almost 200 of their favorite people!

I could go on and on and on. Their wedding day was perfect in so many ways and was the perfect foundation on which to build the rest of their lives together. As they grow stronger in their Christian faith and look forward to a bright future, I'm honored to have been a small part of their AMAZING day.

The couple's biggest wedding planning advice: "Start early. Decide how involved you want to be in making decorations, food, etc., because if you get stressed out easily, that can be a lot to take on and a wedding coordinator and/or all inclusive venue would alleviate some of the stress."
