Rebecca is from Colorado. Daniel is from Michigan. They met online through CatholicMatch.com originally and finally met in person during summer of 2018 when Rebecca flew to Ann Arbor, Michigan. They met up for lunch at Palm Palace and went to Luna Pier on Lake Erie after. Daniel was such a gentleman, asking Rebecca if she would be his girlfriend. And thus began their long-distance relationship.
They instantly connected. Daniel fell in love with her smile and beautiful eyes. Rebecca adores Daniel's warm bear hugs. These two share a love of the outdoors, enjoying walks, hikes, and volleyball in the summer.
When it came time to take the next step, Rebecca flew into Detroit Metro Airport where Daniel picked her up to take her out for the day. They enjoyed Downtown Plymouth and Panera for dinner, listening to Music in the Park. After dinner they went back to Daniel's apartment. On a walk around a nearby lake, discussing their future and plans for their relationship, Daniel knelt down and asked Rebecca to marry him. SHE SAID YES!
Earlier this year, Daniel moved from his home in Michigan to Colorado to join Rebecca and plan a fall wedding. Their plans were shifted due to COVID-19 when their church in Fort Collins couldn't accommodate their indoor ceremony. Instead, they were able to secure the beautiful Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Denver. They chose a beautiful traditional fall color palette of red, yellow, pink, and orange. It was beautiful and perfect for the Basilica! After photos at the church, we all headed north for photos near Loveland and a fun reception at Embassy Suites. We were blessed with mountain views, even amidst the Colorado wildfires.
When asked for their favorite wedding memory, Daniel replied "Saying our vows, and looking into Rebecca's eyes filled with love." Rebecca's response? "Walking down the aisle to Daniel but also looking around at everyone that had gathered to help us celebrate."
We had a wonderful time celebrating with you both! Congrats and much love!
Rebecca's biggest wedding planning advice: "Communication is very important, make time for just you and your future spouse without talking/thinking about wedding things."
